We have gone to Dentistry for Kids since my son was a baby, and our experience has always been positive. Today was his first day going back all by himself, and every single person was so warm and made him feel so safe so he didn’t even hesitate! He had so much fun at the dentist (definitely goes against the usual stigma haha) and loved feeling like a champ for having no cavities. The dental assistant and dentist were both so nice and helpful, like not just saying that – actually above and beyond! They even took a picture! Love that my son loves going to the dentist! I wish I could go here as an adult 😂

Dr. Sorah Kim Is Passionate About Healthy Smiles
Dr. Sorah Kim is no stranger to our practice. She’s been bringing her daughters here even before she became a pediatric dentist.
A Chicago native who grew up in the west suburbs, Dr. Kim now calls the Edgebrook neighborhood home. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on marketing from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She then earned her Juris Doctorate from UIC’s School of Law, and her DMD from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. She also completed a rigorous two-year pediatric dentistry residency at the University of Illinois Chicago, earning both her pediatric dentistry certificate and a master’s in oral sciences.
Dr. Kim’s path to pediatric dentistry began with a deeply personal experience: her own children’s early oral health concerns. She was inspired by Dr. Furusho and Dr. Kollmann, who provided compassionate guidance, education, and treatment, always with kindness and without judgment.
Throughout dental school, Dr. Kim recognized the critical need for specialized dental care for children and grew more convinced that children’s good oral health starts with the family. This led her to pursue a pediatric dentistry residency, where she developed the skills to better serve and guide families with their children’s dental health.
When she’s not at the office, Dr. Kim enjoys spending time with her husband and two tween daughters, playing board games, reading, and gardening with her Goldendoodle, Kimchi.
